One can't deny that Mike Newell's live action Prince of Persia movie got some awesomeness. but this new cut of the Prince of Persia won't do much to conquer the gamers' approbation... Anyway, I bet that it will catch the attention of a large public. :)

I'm thrilled by this trailer of Prince of Persia. Not as close to the game as a hardcore fan may had wished, but it still looks damn good! The Prince of Persia movie is gonna be an epic adventure full of action! :)

This preview clip of Prince of Persia shows that Jake Gyllenhaal really train to be fit for his role. And judging from his previous movies I bet the Prince of Persia movie will be a great film. :)
Entertainment Tonight has been allowed to sneak onto the set of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, the upcoming movie based on the video game of the same name. In this Prince of Persia clip there is even a short interview of Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays the lead role of Dastan.

I am glad that Jake Gyllenhaal has been selected in the role of Prince Dastan: he looks especially fit for the role!
I bet that the movie Prince of Persia that it will spawn into a sequel and even a movie franchise! :)

The script, dating back to 2006, has been written by Jordan Mechner, with revisions by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. So it would be an early version of the screenplay of Prince of Persia.
Because of the mention of Jerry Bruckheimer Films on the first page and the overall well written text I'm incline to think it is a legit script of Prince Persia The Sands of Time (but an early version, the final shoould not be that much different though).
After flipping through the pages I have the impression that the movie will be close to the spirit of the original video game. What do you think? ;-)
Jordan Mechner must be happy: he has been given the opportunity to adapt the famous franchise he contributed to create, Prince of Persia, to the cinema. Actually the film, titled Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, is an adaptation of the 2003 video game of the same name.
The movie is directed by Mike Newell and is starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role. It is scheduled to be released in May 2010.
The plot: "Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a 6th century prince of Persia who teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to rescue the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that controls time, from the hands of the villainous nobleman, Nizam (Ben Kingsley)." (Source: Wikipedia)
